Is Kapoor family’s bungalow haunted? #rishi kapoor

Late Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor’s family is appalled to learn that there are ghosts in a building. Prithviraj Kapoor’s son, Raj Kapoor who is a legendary director, producer and actor was born in Peshawar, Pakistan. There are also assets and buildings that they inherited in their heir. However, the family came to Mumbai from there and settled in this country without going to Pakistan once again.

However, there is still an ancient building belonging to the Kapoor dynasty in Peshawar, Pakistan. Built between 1918 and 1920 before the partition between India and Pakistan, the grand old bungalow can accommodate guests in about 50 rooms and is named as ‘Kapoor Haveli’. Rishikapur submitted a petition to the Government of Pakistan in 2018 to convert the building into a museum as it was no longer in use. With this, interestingly the government also approved for it. But over time, after the death of Rishi Kapoor, their family heard that the bungalow was taken over by a wealthy trader, Haji Mohammad Israr, who later decided to demolish it and construct a commercial building.

Locals are propagating the rumours that the bungalow is haunted owing to the fact supposedly, that it is far away from residential areas and no one has ever visited the bungalow for many years in the recent past. On hearing this, the government of Pakistan abandoned the idea of developing the bungalow as a tourist destination.
