SA Cricketer Criticizes Indian hotel, food

South African cricketer Dean Elgar landed in an unwanted controversy by complaining about the facilities of the hotels and food in India. Ahead of the third Test match against India, Elgar spoke to a cricket web-portal and he had shared his experience of the tour which was a tough one for the Proteas.

“It’s a challenging tour. You get stretched as a person, you get stretched as a cricketer,” said Elgar and added, “I think you get to know yourself quite a lot as a person when you come to the smaller places where the hotels are maybe not as good, and you get challenged on the food you eat potentially.”

This did not go down well with the netizens and started trolling Elgar for his comments. Few of them added that Elgar should be provided Presidential Suit and better food for him and South Africa to perform better in the Test series. A few posted Elgar’s comments to BCCI and Sourav Ganguly who is likely to take over the Indian cricket board.

Coming to the third Test, captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first.
