Satakarni Topic in First Women Parliament

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has raved about the culture, history of Telugus at Women Parliamentarians Conference held on Feb 10 in Vijayawada. Speaking at the inaugural event, Naidu recalled the history of Amaravati and its rich heritage. Also he said how Telugu warriors who ruled the country have respected women.

“AP is having a significant culture. Women always been prayed, respected. 2000 years ago, this is the place Satavahanas had ruled AP and also ruled India, few foreign territories. Gautamiputra Satakarni, the ruler at that time, even named his name after his mother’s name. That’s the history of AP,” said Chandrababu Naidu to a large crowd who welcomed his speech.

Chandrababu Naidu said he’s happy that the first Women Parliamentarians Conference is being held in a holistic place (Vijayawada). Meanwhile, TRS MP Kavitha and former Heritage Foods Executive Director Nara Brahmini are going to deliver their speeches at the Women Parliamentarians Conference.
