Shah drops, BJP plans fade away

The Telangana BJP has lost a good opportunity to further get strengthened in the region as its national president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Hyderabad visit is called off. Shah was supposed to be in the city on September 17th for the Hyderabad Liberation Day and BJP planned a massive public meeting in Patancheruvu.

About 10 days back Amit Shah underwent lipoma surgery at the back side of neck under local anaesthesia at K D Hospital in Ahmedabad. Though Shah was discharged the same day after his surgery, he is yet to recover completely. The doctors have informed Shah that it would take another couple of weeks for him to come out of the surgery and advised good rest. So with no other option, Shah has reportedly cancelled his Hyderabad visit.

BJP had many plans for Hyderabad Liberation Day. By inviting Shah, T’BJP leaders wanted to push KCR in defence over not officially celebrating September 17th. Nevertheless, they are going ahead with the meeting and have reportedly extended invitation to working president JP Nadda and also considering to invite one union minister.
