The cyber crime police have detained six people in connection with YS Sharmila case. So far about 15 social networking sites with YouTube channels were identified by the police and among them few were served notices under section 41 (A).
A special team is probing the Sharmila’s case in which she was accused of having an illicit affair with hero Prabhas. The police took into consideration about 15 videos from YouTube and based on their IP address, they were tracked. All the YouTube channel owners are heard to be from Hyderabad, said the police in their preliminary investigation.
Six of them were identified and after serving notices, they were taken into police custody. The police also say that they are ready to serve notices to the rest in coming days and if there is any possibility, they would also be taken into custody as part of the investigation.
