Smuggler & Alipiri Blast Acquitted Gangi Reddy Gets Bail

Organized criminal and Kadapa-based smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy, who was one of the accused in ex CM Chandrababu’s Alipiri Blast incident and was later acquitted for the lack of evidence, has got bail in connection with Gajulamannem red-sandalwood smuggling case. Gangi Reddy was accused in 27 red sandalwood smuggling cases. Tirupati court has granted bail to Kollam Gangi Reddy.

With great difficulty, the police have arrested smuggler Gangi Reddy in Sri Lanka in 2015 under TDP’s regime. Since 2015, Gangi Reddy was put in Kadapa Central Jail. Between 2017 January and 2018 January, Gangi Reddy was in jail under PD Act. Since 2018 till today, Gangi Reddy was in remand in Kadapa Central Jail. Finally, Tirupati court has granted bail to Gangi Reddy. With this, Gangi Reddy would walk out of the jail freely. The release of Gangi Reddy is raising a lot of eyebrows, particularly from TDP leaders in the aftermath of Drone incident at Chandrababu’s Undavalli residence.

Meanwhile, it can be recalled that none other than ex CM Chandrababu himself had alleged Gangi Reddy of trying to kill him in Alipiri blast. Naidu had alleged Gangi Reddy of planning the blast. He alleged former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy having good connection with smuggler Gangi Reddy. Chandrababu had earlier alleged that after becoming CM, YSR went to Gangi Reddy’s village to meet him. Naidu had even alleged that YSR had feared that Gangi Reddy would reveal YSR’s name during the interrogation.

As TDP has been alleging Gangi Reddy having good relation with YS family, the release of Gangi Reddy on bail after YS Jagan became CM and when he was in his US visit is raising a lot of speculations and suspicion from TDP leaders.
