Speaker Thammineni for criminal action on outsiders

Assembly Speaker Thammineni Sitharam directed the security officials of the AP Assembly to identify outsiders and initiate criminal action against them for trying to gate-crash the Assembly.

The issue is related to the clash of TDP leaders with the Assembly Marshalls on Wednesday when the TDP leaders tried to enter to the House in a procession but were stopped by the Marshalls.

When the Marshalls tried to stop the TDP leaders, including Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh, who abused and manhandled the Marshalls.

When the ruling party members sought disciplinary action against Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh for abusing and mishandling the Marshals, the speaker requested the Opposition leader to apologise for the incident.

However, Chandrababu Naidu refused to tender apology and alleged that the government should also tender apology for insulting him.

Naidu said that the YSR Congress government had turned the Assembly into Central Jail.

Legislative Affairs minister Buggana Rejendranath intervened and said that the Assembly and its gates were constructed by TDP government and wondered that the same TDP chief was terming the Assembly as jail, sending laughter in the House.

The Speaker directed the police to identify every one found at the Assembly gate and take action against the outsiders.
