Surender Reddy Rakes Up A Controversy, Irritates NTR Fans

Director Surender Reddy is on a high with ‘Sye Raa’ touching the mighty 100 crores share mark in Tollywood though the film is termed as a flop in other regions. At the same time, the director is all praises for Prabhas Saaho, as he refused to call it a flop, with the film making 150 crores at Hindi box office.

During the latest interview, apparently Surender Reddy told, “Actually I’m supposed to work with Prabhas long back in 2006 itself. At that time, NTR’s manager Sukumar forced me to work the Nandamuri hero and they themselves prepared Ashok story and kept in my hands. I’m emotionally forced to work on that project, which turned out to be a flop”.

These comments are not going well with NTR’s fans who are breathing fire on Twitter saying that Surender Reddy made his debut with Kalyan Ram’s Athanokkadu and should be thankful for that. Also, they are pointing out that even though Ashok was a flop, NTR gave him Oosaravelli again, which was also a flop.

Anyway, whenever NTR ran after directors who gave a super hit just-then including Surender Reddy (Athanokkade), Harish Shankar (Gabbar Singh), Boyapati Sreenu (Simha) and Santosh Srinivas (Kandireega) have given him only flops, through Ashok, Ramayya Vastavayya, Dammu and Rabhasa.
