Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma got married on December 11 after many rumours.The couple announced it formally by sharing the same tweet on their official Twitter handle with a picture from the wedding.
While everyone from cricket and B-town wished the couple a happy married life and good fortune, South Africa cricketer AB de Villiers and Kohli’s teammate in Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) AB de Villiers was left very ‘surprised’.The Protea, however, wished the newly-wed in a video message posted on his official app saying he hopes for many kids to come.
“Congratulations to Virat and Anushka for getting married. Took me by surprise. But I always knew who had a surprise up your sleeve. So, congrats to my good friend Virat, and Anushka. I know you guys are going to have a very happy life together and hopefully many kids to come,” he said in the video.The Indian skipper, who has been rested from the ODIs and T20Is against Sri Lanka, will join the team for the upcoming tour of South Africa, starting January 5 next year.
