Some back to back hits in Bollywood like Andhadhun and De De Pyar De has made actress Tabassum Hashmi aka Tabu, a sought after siren now. The 45-year-old lady is ready to play characters of her age, that thought opened new avenues for her, has brought her into Telugu industry too.
Apart from playing a crucial role in Allu Arjun and Trivikram’s movie, Tabu has also signed to play an interseing character in Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi’s ‘Virataparvam 1992’ which is being directed by Venu Udugula of Needhi Naadhi Oke Katha fame. And she is said to be charging a bomb for the same.
Reports are coming that Tabu is taking home a cool 60 lakhs for her presence in the film as a character artist. That is on part with how much some of the leading ladies are charging for their movies with the stars. Though Tabu hasn’t proved her mettle in the new age in Tollywood, it looks like filmmakers are quite convinced about her presence that they are not thinking twice to pay her huge.
