TDP Brothers ready to say Bye Bye Babu

KE brothers had played significant role in Kurnool district TDP. KE Krishnamurthy, who had served as Deputy CM and withheld crucial portfolios like Revenue, Stamps & Registration, and his brother and former minister, ex MLA KE Prathap, who served as MLC in previous government and also served as the Chairman of state irrigation development corporation (IDC) in previous TDP regime, are all set to quit TDP now. The next move of KE brothers is expected as the duo is going to join ruling YCP.

As per sources, KE brothers would be joining YCP on Nov 29th in the presence of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. As KE brothers belong to backward community, their entry into YCP is welcomed by Jagan. With KE brothers joining, YCP is expected to become further stronger in the district.

In 2019 general election, Then Deputy CM (Revenue) KE Krishnamurthy hadn’t contested. Instead of him, KE’s son KE Shyam Kumar had contested from Pattikonda and lost with a margin of 34,804 votes. Even former Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya had lost in Allagadda with margin of 32,933 votes.

YCP has swept Kurnool district in 2019 polls where it has won all the seats in the districts making TDP’s representation zero in the district. All the 14 Assembly constituencies and the two Lok Sabha seats were won by YCP candidates.
