TDP Lawmakers Suspended From The Assembly For The Third Straight Day!

Ever since the Winter sessions of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly started, the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) has been hitting the headlines for all the bad reasons.

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Tammineni Sitaram has suspended the TDP MLAs after they tried to create a ruckus in the house by trying to barge into the Speaker’s podium.

The Speaker suspended the opposition MLA after multiple warnings to not create trouble in the state Assembly. Nine TDP Legislators were suspended from the Assembly for a day.

The trouble broke out after the TDP leaders tried to interrupt Chief Minister YS Jagan’s speech in the house on the Polavaram project, the dream project of the Andhra People.

After the Speaker suspended nine TDP Lawmakers from the Assembly, the remaining leaders, including party chief Chandrababu Naidu walked out of the house.

On the first day of Winter Sessions, former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, 13 other MLAs were suspended for a day after they tried to protest by sitting on the floor in the house.

Speaking in the house, CM Jagan said, back in 2004, during the tenure of former CM late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, land procurement and left canal works of Polvaram were started.

But when Chandrababu Naidu came to power he neglected the Polavaram project works. To see that discussion on the Polavaram project is not done, the TDP party is purposely doing ruckus in the house, CM Jagan said.
