TDP, YSRC indulge in social media war!

The blame game between the Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress party over the suicide of senior TDP leader and former Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao is continuing even a day after his cremation at Narsaraopet in Guntur district on Wednesday.

While the leaders from both the parties are slinging mud at each other, their followers have been indulging in a large scale war in the social media, accusing each other of being responsible for Kodela.

While the pro-TDP groups have been attacking the YSR Congress party with the hashtag #YSJaganKilledKodela in the social media, the counter allegation with hashtag #PoliticalterroristCBN and #CBNKilledKodela have been trending in the social media. Both the groups have been spreading canards against each other.

Outside, too, both the ruling and opposition parties are blaming each other for the death of Kodela.

The TDP leaders led by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu met AP Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and demanded that a CBI probe be ordered into the circumstances that led to the suicide of Kodela.

On the other side, YSRCP leaders lashed out at the TDP chief for meeting the Governor to lodge false complaints. They asked him with what face he would meet the Governor.

YSRC MLAs Ambati Rambabu and Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy alleged that Naidu had humiliated Kodela by not giving him appointment for three months and kept him at bay in the party politics.

They questioned Naidu as to why he had not raised the voice when people were complaining against Kodela family members.

“This has disturbed Kodela mentally and forced him to commit suicide,” they said.

The YSRC leaders also alleged that Kodela and his family had indulged in land grabbing in Sattenapalle and Narasaraopet and also theft of assembly furniture.

They released a 20-point questionnaire accusing Kodela family of indulging in corruption.
