Teja had two scripts for me, I picked ‘SITA’: Bellamkonda

Hero Bellamkonda Sreenivas said director Teja had two scripts ready for him and he picked ‘SITA’ as it was challenging.

As part of ‘SITA’ promotions, hero Bellamkonda interacted with the media and shared his thoughts.

“As I have learned acting in US, I wanted to do a challenging role. Director Teja had two scripts. My dad wanted me to do the second but I like the first which is SITA.”

Bellamkonda then said director Teja had tested him on the first day of the shoot.

“On the first day, I was given a big sheet of dialogues and asked to rehearse. Director Teja had his inhibitions on me but I surpassed his expectations and he appreciated my efforts. Not just Teja, even Kajal and others thought whether I would fit into the role of Raghuram or not. Thankfully I have met everyone’s expectations,” added Bellamkonda.

We shot the film in Cambodia and it is the first Indian film.

“Only Hollywood’s ‘Tom Raider’ got permission to shoot in Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia which is spread across 4000 acres. Then it is ‘SITA’ and the temple has rich history of our culture which surprised me,” said Bellamkonda sharing the shooting details.

When asked about working with Kajal, he replied that she is a fantastic actress and her role is going to be defining one.

‘SITA’ is releasing on May 24th.
