Yes. We are talking of Tripura CM Biplob Deb. Biplob said that the BJP wants to extend its organisation to neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka and Nepal and win elections there too. And Biplob Deb made these statement in a party workers meeting in Tripura. Not just that! He is quoting the then party national president Amit Shah as saying this. He also says that he himself was present when Amit Shah said this. This reckless comment has now become a butt of jokes not just in Tripura but across the country.
Biplob is known to shoot off his mouth once-too-often. He had his foot-in-the-mouth moments many times in the past. His latest comments, which Amit Shah may have said in during a banter while commenting on BJP’s winning spree, have been taken a tad too seriously by the CM. Neither Amit Shah nor the party have so far commented on the CM’s utterances.
