Total non-cooperation worries former deputy CM

Till the other day, she was the deputy chief minister from the Tribal area. But, she could not do much despite being the deputy chief minister. She was accused of not reaching out to the people of her district. But, she did not receive much support from the other MLAs of her district.

Now she is out of power. She is a mere MLA. But, CM Jagan made her the president of the Parvathipuram district. Parvathipuram is one of the smallest districts in the state. It has just four assembly seats – Kurupam, Saluru, Parvathipuram and Palakonda. Though all the four are bagged by the YSRCP, there are deep differences between the sitting MLAs.

Parvathipuram MLA Alajangi Joga Rao and Pushpa Srivani are not on talking terms. Even when Srivani was the minister, he had never invited her to any of the programmes in his constituency. Ditto with Saluru. This constituency is represented by Rajanna Dora. Rajanna is among the senior most MLAs in the tribal area. So, he fretted and fumed when a young politician like Pushpa Srivani was made a minister. He had always kept aloof from her.

The situation is the same in Palakonda too. Local MLA V Kalavathi has never cooperated with Srivani. Another problem for her is that her rival Rajanna Dora is a minister. He appears to be least interested in extending cooperation to Pushpa Srivani. Sources say that she has taken her problems to the notice of regional coordinator and minister Botsa Satyanarayana.
