Trending Cartoon: Modi dials captain Kohli for cup

The Indian cricket team is doing good in the ICC cricket world cup. The team is placed in third position in the points table and will remain so if they continue the current form. As expectations are good enough on the Indian team, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is quite optimistic about team’s success.

Though Modi is occupied with his hectic schedules, one such cartoon says, Modi dialed captain Virat Kohli and asked him to get the cup home. Popular cartoonist Satish Acharya blended his creativity with a small satire on Modi and Amit Shah who are being dominant.

After winning the world cups in 1983 and 2011, then Indian team captains Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni met then Prime Ministers Indra Gandhi and Manmohan Singh respectively as a mark of respect. As both were Congress PMs and looking at these pictures, Modi wants to be the first PM of BJP to have lift the world cup trophy.

Will Modi’s wish come true? That we will get to know on July 14th.
