Trump’s Agra tour: Read what was done for a smell-free Yamuna

India is fully getting prepared for the most awaited and prestigious U.S President, Donald Trump’s visit. First once he lands in Delhi, he will be going to Ahmedabad. After the three hour road show there, he will be back in Agra as a part of his two-day tour in India.

So, not only is Taj Mahal getting decorated beautifully but also the Yamuna river is getting a refurbishment by the Uttar Pradesh Government. This visit will see even Melania Trump accompanying Donald Trump. The Ahmedabad Road show will be followed by a Namaste Trump event in Mothara Cricket Stadium.

Already walls have been built to hide the slums alongside the road leading to this Stadium and beautiful paintings were made. And with Yamuna emitting foul odor, government had pumped in 500 Cusecs of fresh water into the river.

Pollution Control Board Engineer Arvind Kumar said that this will balance the water pollution too. Instead of controlling the industrial wastage alongside the river, is it fair to waste 500 Cusecs of fresh drinking water for Trump’s visit?
