The Guntur Police have filed an FIR against ex-speaker Kodela Siva Prasad. On April 11th in Inumetla village, Kodela went inside a polling booth and closed the doors for nearly half-an-hour. Then YSRCP activists entered the scene and an attack on Kodela happened. On the same day, the police have booked YSRCP activists but let off Kodela.
After five days, the police registered an FIR against Kodela and claimed that he was involved in booth capturing. Along with Kodela, 22 other TDP leaders were booked in the FIR. The case is filed at Rajupalem police station and it was YSRCP who alleged Kodela indulged in booth capturing. Kodela is the third accused in the FIR.
YSRCP has appointed an fact finding committee on this whole episode and party senior leaders Botsa arrived in Guntur. After thorough discussions, Botsa, Ambati Rambabu and rest of YSRCP leaders have reached Guntur SP and submitted their complaint.
