Vice president Venkaiah Naidu pays tribute to police men on police commemoration day

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday lauded police men on the ocassion of police commemoration day. He sad India will never forget the sacrifices made by police personnel in the line of duty.

“On Police Commemoration Day today, I pay my homage to all police personnel, who had laid down their lives in the line of duty,” the Vice President Secretariat tweeted quoting Naidu.

“The nation is ever grateful to them for their sacrifice, valour & commitment,” Naidu stated.

On this great ocassion, PM Narendra Modi said that the police men had been preserving law and order to solve gruesome crimes, in addition to assistance in disaster management and fighting COVID-19. He appreciated their diligence and added further saying that our nation’s police personnel always give their best without hesitation.

Police commemoration day marks a special dedicated day to pay tribute to 10 brave Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who sacrificed their lives in snow laden terrains by Chinese troops in 1959 in Ladakh’s Hot Spring area. Twenty army men went in search of a missing reconnaissance party and was ambushed by heavy Chinese army. The patrol party was spearheaded by Karam Singh, DCIO.
