Vijay’s ‘Whistle’ Trailer: Perfect Bend of Mass & Sports

The Telugu version of long-awaited film Bigil, titled Whistle has Mass hero Thalapathy Vijay in a dual role. The trailer is out and the 2.42 minutes video started with Vijay as a football coach for a women team. The role had Vijay in an empowering look and his strictness is crowd-pleasing with an edge of a seat match scenes. The younger Vijay, Michael, aka Bigil as a ground name, maintained style and class throughout the trailer.

The trailer is a concoction of sports drama and mass entertainer as Vijay’s another role (Rayappan) as faction leader looks powerful, aggressive and vigorous taking his entire network of local criminals at his back. Vijay’s Whistle is building up hopes as his dual role, both as a mass leader (father) and a football coach (son) is engaging so far in terms of a trailer.

While Michael shows his anger and self-esteem in winning matches, the local don Rayappan is seen articulating some whistle-worthy dialogues. It is amazing to see Vijay pouring his heart out in showcasing Rayappan, Michael and Bigil roles with spellbound expressions.

The director, Atlee, has firmly planted his feet into the drama with amazing finesse in this simulabeous genres. Promising a mass entertainer, the senes are filled with vitality and enthusiasm. In fact, the Tamil version trailer has broken all the records by crossing 13 million views in a span of 12 hours.

With Nayanthara as the female lead, her role will have a crucial, in fact, an emotional connection between two roles. AR Rahman’s background score has been a big plus in order to build a hair-raising experience. The film is all set to release on October 25 and ‘Whistle’ is being produced by Mahesh Koneru in Telugu under a budget of 180 crore.
