Watch: Naidu should get ready to vacate his house

Now, the time has come for Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to vacate his palatial bungalow taken on lease from realtor Lingamaneni Ramesh on the banks of Krishna river at Vundavalli in Amaravati.

The officials of the AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) sent enough signals to this effect on Monday by starting demolition of a building constructed on the banks of the river on the lines of Naidu’s residence.

The building belongs to Pathuri Koteshwara Rao, who happens to be brother of senior TDP leader Paturi Nagabhushanam, former Zilla Parishad chairman of Krishna district.

It was declared illegal by the CRDA in July and notices were served on him three days ago to demolish the structure.

Workers engaged by APCRDA, under the aegis of zonal assistant director T Narendranath Reddy and junior planning officer I Srinivasa Rao, began demolition of the ramp belonging to the building constructed in a five-acre land.

The ramp with steps was constructed into the river without any permission, authorities said.

They also announced that Naidu’s residence is also up for demolition.

“We have given a week’s time that will end on September 28. We are waiting for the orders from the higher-ups. Once we get the nod, we shall start demolition of the same,” an official said.

One has to wait and see what Naidu will do now – whether he will abide by the law and vacate the house or stay back in the house till the last brick is removed to enact a big drama.
