The main reason for Bollywood losing its glory is the fact that they got divided into two sections based on their political affiliations. Previously, they used to be together and produced some wonderful stories which is not the case nowadays. Their movies are not getting universal reception and experts suggest that the influence of politics and media is quite heavy on the film industry.
In Bollywood, a section of heroes and heroines have taken the Anti-Modi stand. We have seen heroes like Aamir Khan, Swara Bhaskar, Taapsee Pannu and others speaking against the Prime Minister. They even extended their support to left-wing movements many times. On the other hand, people like Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Agnihotri and others took a pro-Modi stance.
With politics taking the forefront unnecessarily, the movies of Khans and other celebrity star kids are being subjected to extreme negativity which is leading to heavy losses. As Akshay Kumar is making films based on Hindutwa elements like ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Ram Sethu’ and others, the left-wingers are spreading hatred on it.
With both the parties spreading negativity over each other, the producers are ending up with huge losses. It looks like this phenomenon is going to have an impact on Tollywood heroes too. Already, the right-wingers owned up heroes like Ram Charan who donned the getup of Sriram in the climax of ‘RRR’ and Prabhas who is playing lord Ram in the upcoming mythological film ‘Adipurush’.
Now, Charan and Abhishek Agarwal are making ‘The India House’ together. They are producers of this pan-Indian film and with Abhishek already making ‘The Kashmir Files’, he has openly taken his stance and the anti-BJP gang are targeting his movies. They claim that he makes propaganda movies. With him teaming up with Charan and arriving with ‘The India House’, there is a strong impression that Charan will also be bracketed to right wing category. We have already seen how Pawan’s films get targeting in AP due to his involvement in politics. We need to wait and see what happens.
