Does the TRS have any right to speak about PV Narasimha Rao? Is the TRS using PV Narasimha Rao’s daughter Vani Devi as a scapegoat in the MLC elections? Is it like the way TRS used Telangana martyr Srikanthachary’s mother Shankaramma for political purposes and then abandoned her?
These are the questions that Congress working president Revanth Reddy is rising as part of the campaign for the Graduate Constituency MLC elections. He said that Vani Devi was being used as a scapegoat and soon after her defeat in the elections, she would be completely abandoned and left to her fate. Addressing a party workers meeting, he said that the TRS had in the past used martyr Srikanthachary’s mother in the same way and abandoned her to her fate later. He said that the TRS has no right to speak about PV Narasimha Rao as the TRS has never backed him while he was alive.
He said that only Congress will work for the welfare of the graduate voters and the other parties only pay a lip service. He said both Ramachandra Rao of the BjP and independent Nageshwar did precious little for the graduates during their stint as the MLCs.
