Yatra is a part-biopic on late legendary Ex CM of AP, YS Rajasekhara Reddy directed by Mahi V Raghav.
The movie covers the events that resulted in YSR taking up the legendary pada yatra, which ultimately brought him to power.
Yatra seems to be a very personal film going by its trailer. It gives deep insights into YSR’s thoughts and ideologies.
Mammootty doesn’t try to imitate or mimic YSR but still manages to bring that believability to the character. However, dubbing in his own voice takes away that native feel to some extent.
Dilaogues and the moments that made into the theatrical trailer cut are very impressive. YSR fans and his admirers will surely wait to watch the film in theaters. The background score, camera work also adds value to the theme of the film.
Yatra is produced by Vijay Chilla and Shasi Devireddi. The film is slated for release on Feb 8.
