PM Modi who addressed the nation today at 8 PM, announced Rs 20 lakh crore financial package to revive the Indian economy. This is the most unexpected decision from the central government but has come at the right time as every state government is clueless about the revival of their economical crisis.
Modi said that he would play an important role in this ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ and made it clear that every rupee in that financial package will help revive every branch of the economy – from demand, supply chain to manufacturing.
Modi said that the Financial Minster Nirmala Sitaraman will explain the complete details of the announced financial package and also urged the people to buy and promote the local products in this crisis period and asked them to be the ‘vocal of the local’.
This is the fifth time Modi addressed the nation since March and also concluded that there will be a lockdown extension, but it will be different from the previous lockdowns with new rules. He said that they will inform about the new lockdown, lockdown 4.0, before May 18.
“The crisis has made the nation realize the importance of street hawkers, daily wage workers, migrant labourers, fishermen e.t.c in the local supply chain. Time has taught us that we have to realize the importance of local traders, craftsmen, and brand,” added Modi. He said that the announced 20 lakh crore package is 10% of the country’s GDP and it will focus on areas like land, labor, liquidity, and law.
