Meet The New President Of France

In a massive mandate offered by people of France, the 39-year old Emmanuel Macron has won over Marine Le Pen of Far-right National Front to become the next president of country and one of the most powerful personalities in Europe.

From starting his career as an investment banker to achieving the top chair of France, the pro-European centrist Macron has come a long way indeed. With a clear majority of 65% votes, Macron stunned everyone and he’s expected to work on prestigious economic and political reforms for France and also European Union (EU).

With a measly 35 percent vote share, anti-euro Le Pen conceded the defeat and said she would continue to campaign for her party in upcoming parliamentary polls. Market analysts project that this victory will give a big relief and a kind of boost to European stocks.

The incumbent president Francois Hollande will soon leave the office to Macron, who married a school teacher Brigitte Macron. She is 24 years elder to Macron and they married after being in a relationship for several years.
