Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which had opened its North America Insurance hub for business operations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has said that more than 800 new employees will work in the region, making it the city’s biggest local employer.TCS said it has invested nearly $3 billion in the U.S. over the past three years and is among the top two job creators in IT services in the U.S.
The company said the Insurance hub is part of its multi-year relationship with Transamerica. The deal would transform the administration of Transamerica’s U.S. insurance and annuity business lines, accelerate the enhancement of its digital capabilities and modernise its platforms to service all lines of its business customers.
TCS said it will administer more than 10 million policies of Transamerica, including life insurance, annuity, supplemental insurance among others.
