Among the critics of KCR that people listen to is Kodandaram. The latter was one of the leading lights of the Telangana agitation and was instrumental in roping in the students into the agitation. At one point of time, he emerged on a par with KCR in term of popularity but KCR comprehensively sidelined Kodandaram after the elections.
The professor has now launched his own party Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and the poor man has been struggling to get permission for his party’s public meeting. The government has been denying him permission to hold his meeting and a frustrated Kodandaram finally had to approach the judiciary, alleging that the police and state machinery was intentionally denying permission to his party.Interestingly, LB Stadium was where Kodandaram wants to hold hi meeting but permission was denied. Ironically, it was given for the pre-release event of Bharat Ane Nenu.
Thanks to the intervention of the Court, Kodandaram will now be holding the meeting at Saroornagar Stadium.Meanwhile, proving the theory ‘chinaa chepanu pedda chepa, pedda chepanu timmingalam’, KCR’s request to the Union Defence Ministry to hold his ‘plenary and third front’ meeting at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad has been rejected.
As they say, what goes around comes around.
