The political turmoil in Tamil Nadu will reportedly take a new shape from this Sunday as the newly elected chief of AIADMK, Sasikala Natarajan will be made the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Although there is no confirmation on this news, the scheduled meeting of AIADMK leadership this Sunday is giving strong indication that Sasikala is moving all the pawns to ensure she has an unopposed sitting in the CM chair. Incumbent CM Panneer Selvam, allegedly known as the puppet of then CM Jayalalithaa, will reportedly step aside for Sasikala.
Tamil media houses have further reported that Sasikala will take official oath as the CM of Tamil Nadu on 9th of this month. Although Panner Selvam is the CM for the past 2 months, Sasikala was pulling all the strings from behind the screen. It is heard that she has now decided to dictate terms officially.
During her first speech as the chief of AIADMK last month, Sasikala announced that she would lead the party abiding by the principles of Jaya.
