2.0 Becomes All-Time Third Biggest Hit

Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ has crossed $5 million mark in its second weekend. The film grossed whopping half million dollars on Saturday and Sunday during the last weekend and has crossed $5 million mark.

It has now become all-time third biggest South Indian movie at USA box-office after “Baahubali” movies.

“Baahubali The Beginning” grossed $6.9 million while “Baahubali The Conclusion” had raked in $20.5 million in their lifetime run. “2.0” has crossed $5 million mark and has potential to add another million dollars to its kitty.

Other than these three movies, no other South Indian film grossed more than $5 million mark in USA.

Meanwhile, last weekend’s two Telugu releases “Kavacham” and “Subramanyapuram” tanked at the US box-office with distributors looking at huge losses.

Bellamkonda and Kajal Aggarwal starrer “Kavacham” grossed mere 4000 dollars in the first weekend. Which means, the movie is huge disaster.

Interestingly, Sumanth’s “Subramanyapuram” grossed better than Bellamkonda’s movie as the move raked in $65k in its opening weekend.

Vijay Deverakonda’s “Taxiwaala” has ended its run with $770k.
