Days after tendering his resignation as the MLA of Tadepalligudem, BJP leader Manikyala Rao said that AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu should welcome Modi as the protocol demands, ahead of the BJP’s meeting in Andhra Pradesh on January 6th.
Ahead of Modi’s visit to Andhra Pradesh, there have been several rumours in the political circles indicating that Chandrababu Naidu, as per protocol, is not interest to welcome the Prime Minister and may not go to the airport. Amid such news doing rounds, Manikyala Rao said the Chief Minister has to abide by the protocol and receive the Prime Minister.
After visiting the temple in Annavaram today, Manikyala Rao alleged that after he quit as the Endowments Minister, there have been lot of misuse in temple development funds. “We will not stay quiet if the funds for temple development are being misused by TDP party workers,” he said, reiterating confidence that the Central Government will be the one to build the Kadapa Steel Plant for which the foundation was laid by CM Chandrababu Naidu today.
