Generally, if someone replaces a star hero from their project, they are likely to get a loss. That too if a star hero is replaced with a newcomer, the business aspects might get badly affected. But it looks that is not the case with this franchise film.
One of the biggest films coming from Disney’s stables is the franchise of The Pirates Of The Carribean. These films have the most popular protagonist character Jack Sparrow along with other characters like Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, played by Jhonny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and Keira Knightley respectively.
Recently we have revealed that the producer is dropping Jhonny Depp forever from the role and replacing him with a new actor. Owing to the heroes domestic violence cases filed by his former girlfriend Amber Heard, he is said to have got sacked. And his sacking led to a saving of 100 million dollars, which happens to be the remuneration charged by Depp for a film. That means literally 700 crores in Indian currency.
However, whether Depp’s exit from the role will have an impact or not will be proved only when the new film of the franchise hits cinemas. The film’s storytelling should be so impactful that people have to forget Depp and see Jack Sparrow there.
