Bharatiya Janata Party legislator T Raja Singh on Tuesday made sensational comments saying that he would tear down the seat number, if he was allotted it besides MIM legislators.
In the last assembly, the BJP MLAs were given seats adjacent to the MIM MLAs. BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy used to share the seat with MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi.
Raja Singh said he would not sit beside the MIM MLAs and he had made a request with the Speaker about the same. “But, if I am allotted the seat, I will tear down my seat number,” he said.
Stressing that he is not against Muslims, he said that he is opposed to only MIM as it refuses to respect the country. He said that he would welcome if TRS appoints any Muslim from the TRS.
It may be recalled that the BJP legislator has declared that he would not take oath if an MIM member is appointed as Pro-tem speaker.
