Ro’HIT’ Sharma becomes top T20 scorer

India’s stand-in captain Rohit Sharma has become the top scorer of T20 international cricket surpassing New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill.

In the second T20 against New Zealand in Auckland, Rohit scored a half century of just 29 balls. The Mumbai batsman has now 2,288 runs to his name while Guptill is placed second at 2,272 runs. So far Rohit has played 92 matches ever since his debut in 2007 against England and averages about 32 with a strike rate of 138.41.

Coming to the match, India won comfortably the second T20, all thanks to Krunal Pandya with the ball and Rohit Sharma and Rishab Pant with the bat.

India squared the three match T20 series with 1-1. The last match will be held on Sunday in Hamilton. So far India has not lost a T20 series in the past year and half. It is expected to carry the same form in the final match too.
