Fugitive diamond jeweler Nirav Modi has been reportedly arrested by the London police as per the latest updates. He will be produced before the Westminster court that has issued an arrest warrant against him last week.
However, like Vijaya Mallya, Nirav Modi is also expected to get a bail but the court will put restrictions on his movements in the country.
Earlier this month, Nirav Modi was spotted on the streets of London. One of the local journalists had questioned him about the PNB scandal. But he refused to reply to even a single question and stuck to ‘No Comments.’
Based on Nirav Modi’s whereabouts in London, the Enforcement Directorate has filed supplementary charges against him. Assets worth Rs 1700 crore belonging to Nirav Modi and family were seized by ED.
