Dummy EVMs seized from YSRCP leader

In a shocking incident that reveals how there is so much competition among political parties in Andhra Pradesh, Police have seized a huge number of dummy EVMs at Narasannapalem in West Godavari. According to the police, they found more than 350 dummy EVMs in a mini van with registration number TS 08 UD 4408.

Apparently, the vehicle is known to belong YSR Congress MP candidate, Polavaram Balaraju. The confirmation from the police came after they telephoned the number on the bill after which they were told that it was the MP candidate’s persona assistant’s phone number. On receiving information that YSR Congress leaders are transporting dummy EVMs from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam, cops have been keeping a vigil on all vehicles.

While YSR Congress party leaders are stating that they are using them to create awareness among voters, Police say that they are using them to replace them with original EVMs on the polling day. Meanwhile, this news has also reached the Election Commission which will be taking a strict action. According to the EC, this is illegal and a serious crime in manipulating elections.

It is learnt that the EVMs were stored secretly at Koyalagudem at the MRO office, indicating that the YSRCP is using government offices to ensure that the blame doesn’t fall on the party if it is exposed. Looks like this is quite a plan to manipulate the outcome for elections where the voter is treated as a mere dummy!
