Undavalli Has No Entry In YSRC?

It looks like former Rajahmundry MP and senior politician Undavalli Arun Kumar has not got entry into the YSR Congress party, though he wanted to make a reentry into active politics.

It was evident from his statement on Monday that the Telugu Desam Party has bright chances of coming to power, if the talk that women had voted for the ruling party in big numbers as they were impressed with the Pasupu Kumkuma scheme.

“As the things stand now, odds seem to favour the YSR Congress party as the youth had shown response to party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. But one shouldn’t be surprised if the TDP might pull off a smart victory,” he said.

He predicted that the ‘Pasupu-Kumkuma’ scheme played a key role.

“And Naidu promised that it was not a one-time affair but would give them every year. If the women believed his promise, he would have made them vote for the TDP. Not only women, but also their family members would vote for Naidu,” he said.

However, Vundavalli said Jagan had matured as a leader over the last five years, but his attitude remained the same.

“The disadvantage for Naidu is that he has no support of the BJP and Jana Sena now. That gives edge to Jagan. Yet, Naidu’s schemes might tilt the scale towards him,” he said.
