With Samantha getting married, Kajal ageing up a bit, Rakul Preet running after Bollywood, there came a huge vacuum in the ‘star heroine’ slots. And surprisingly the likes of Kiara Advani and Pooja Hegde filled it quite easily, while Keerthy Suresh and Sai Pallavi limited themselves to certain films.
And recently, after Vinaya Vidheya Rama debacle, though Kiara Advani was offered many films, she hasn’t signed any. This is because she has almost four films in Bollywood now, including Kabir Singh, Good News, Shershah, Laxmi Bomb and Indu Ki Jawani. With four films lined up, it’s tough for her to sign Telugu movies, due to which she gave up Mahesh-Anil Ravipudi movie.
With Kiara out of the race, Mumbai girl Pooja Hegde, who has roots in Mangalore, remains that biggest option for star heroes as she has Allu Arjun -Trivikram movie and Prabhas’ film lined up. But then, Bangalore beauty Rashmika Mandanna is now breaking into this big zone after working with the likes of Vijay Devarakonda, Nithin and Naga Shourya.
As Kiara decided to drop from Mahesh-Anil Ravipudi film, now Rashmika signed up for that movie. Though she’s offered the film earlier as well, at that time she failed to adjust dates, it looks like now she made the adjustments.
Cinema observers could say that the competition for the top slot and the crown is between Pooja Hegde and Rashmika only.
