Is the leased bungalow on the banks of Krishna river at Vundavalli in which Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been staying for the last five years a government guest house?
On Friday, YSR Congress party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy quoted Naidu as claiming that the residence of Naidu was in fact a government guest house.
Recalling an old statement made by the TDP president on March 6, 2016, Sai Reddy tweeted that according to Naidu, the Lingamaneni Ramesh guest house was acquired by the then government under land pooling and had been converted into a government guest house.
“The Naidu government spent nearly Rs 8 crore for its renovation and providing other facilities. But as per the records verified by the present government, the guest house is still in the name of Lingamaneni Ramesh,” he pointed out.
He demanded that Chandrababu Naidu should clarify whom the guest house belongs to – whether to the government or to Lingamaneni Ramesh.
Sai Reddy also lashed out at the former chief minister for cursing that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government would collapse due to ill-conceived policies.
“Nothing will happen with such curses. Naidu thinks if it is not possible to him to do justice to the people, nobody else could do,” he said.
He asserted that Jagan government would definitely prove that merger of the RTC with the government was possible and services of contract employees could be regularised.
“Just watch out how Jagan will prove them happen,” he said.
