Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who’s currently in Delhi tour, has called on Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for a brief 40-minute meeting. According to the AP government sources, the new CM of AP has urged Nirmala Sitharaman to sanction a special financial assistance apart from funds that state should legally get.
Also, Jagan asked FM to release pending Rs 5,000 Cr funds to fasten the construction of Polavaram project. Furthermore, the YSR Congress Party President made an appeal to provide financial assistance for the state government’s prestigious ‘Navaratna’ schemes.
As part of Delhi tour, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday. And, he paid a formal visit to President Ramnath Kovind, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister Nithin Gadkari before meeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
