At a time when some Telugu portals are churning out rumours related to the biopic of Tamilnadu former CM and iconic personality, Jayalalitha, the clarity given by her relatives is like a tight slap to everyone.
On one side, star heroine Kangana Ranaut, who is going to essay the role of Jayalalitha in “Thalaivi”, which will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously, rumours are being spread that the film is not getting a kickstart owing to budget issues. Some went on saying that as director Gowtham Menon started the shooting of Jayalalitha web series titled ‘Queen’ with Ramya Krishna in the lead, Kangana’s film is being put on hold.
When quizzed with the same, Deepa Jayakumar, nephew of late Jayalalitha, confirmed that director AL Vijay took all possible inputs and permissions to make a film on the late Thalavi’s life with Kangana, but Gowtham hasn’t even approached them. He warned that Gowtham has to face consequences for Queen if he continues making the web series without their permission.
This confirms that Telugu producer Vishnu Induri’s Jayalalitha biopic is a serious project that is going to take off very soon as Kangana is also practising Bharatanatyam to portray the early life of the late actress who went on to become Chief Minister of Tamilnadu later.
