Why Jagan Silent on Kodela’s Suicide?

Kodela Siva Prasada Rao might belong to Opposition TDP, but no doubt, he is one of the senior politicians. He served as minister in NTR and Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet and had held key portfolios in undivided state and divided state of Andhra Pradesh including Home, Health, Major Irrigation, Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Civil Supplies. This is not all. He is the first Speaker of the AP Assembly.

But CM YS Jagan’s silent on Kodela’s death has come as a big surprise to even political bigwigs and political analysts. Neither Jagan nor Chief Minister’s Office have condoled Kodela’s death on social media platforms. Jagan and CMO haven’t tweeted a word about Kodela’s shocking death. This is a new low in politics. Usually, when leaders of Kodela’s stature die, politicians cutting across political parties condemn and condole it. But that is not the case with YCP. Other than Botsa Satyanarayana, none of the cabinet ministers expressed their grief, condolences. If this is not enough, Botsa went onto raise doubts over Kodela’s suicide who asked the Telangana state government to probe Kodela’s suicide.

On the contrary, CM Jagan hasn’t responded and hasn’t cancelled any of his previous appointments. The CMO twitter handle continues to post about Jagan’s meetings with SBI and also his visit to boat tragedy in Rajahmundry. The state government hasn’t announced mourning days to former Speaker and former minister who was six-time MLA.

Will Kodela’s final rites get full state honours from AP state government? Why Jagan and his ministers are silent? Is it going to turn full political issue in AP in coming days?
