It looks like Telugu Desam Party leader and former MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar is facing the same situation as that of former Union minister and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram.
The Central Bureau of Investigation is filing one case after the other against Chidambaram to see that he does not come out on bail.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court granted bail to the Congress leader in INX Media case, but the CBI ensured that he remained in jail in another case.
Similarly, Chintamaneni, the former MLA from Denduluru in West Godavari district, was granted bail in a criminal case and was expected to be released on Wednesday.
But the West Godavari police arrested him in yet another case on a PT warrant on Tuesday itself.
The police booked Chintamaneni on a complaint filed by one Joseph. He was produced in the Eluru excise court which sent him to judicial remand for 14 more days.
He has already been serving the remand in Eluru District Jail in an atrocity case.
In all, nine cases have been filed against Chintamani this month. The TDP leaders alleged that the YSRCP govt targetted Chintamaneni by registering cases.
