Sometimes you need to avoid doing certain types of films such that you won’t get stereotyped and will not be deprived of success at the box office. The likes of Nithin, Varun Sandesh and Sandeep Kishan failed to read this, hence tread in same-content and faced flak at the box office.
But it looks like Vijay Devarkonda is not making such mistakes as he dont’ want to wear the same shoes again and again. Meeku Maatrama Chepta is the maiden production venture of Vijay, which hasn’t got great reviews from critics but still doing okay at the box office. Actually, this film was supposed to Vijay’s movie as Tamil director Shammer Sultan narrated the story to him, only to make him play the lead role.
With Pelli Choopulu being a similar comedy, Vijay is said to have rejected the idea of starring in the same, but months later he called up the director that he will produce the film in case if he wants to cast Tarun Bhaskar in it. Surely this is the wisest decision taken by the sensational hero, as his presence would have demanded more from the movie which is actually pitched on a wafer-thin storyline.
