A press note released in the name of Jana Sena Party that went viral in the social media has caused an embarrassing situation to party president and power star Pawan Kalyan.
The press note, purported to have been sent by Jana Sena media in charge P Hari Prasad, said Pawan Kalyan, who pledged his support to the building construction workers at his massive rally in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, would take up fast-unto-death in Amaravati if the government failed to announce security to the construction labourers and pay ex gratia to those who had committed suicide in the next two weeks.
The press note went on to say that Pawan Kalyan would be available at the party office at Mangalagiri on November 16 and would launch his fast unto death at 9 am on November 17, the Sunday.
He also asked all his party leaders to launch similar fasts in all the district headquarters and sought the support of all sections of people to his struggle, the press note said.
The Jana Sena Party swiftly reacted to this “fake press note.” It said it was wrong news and appealed to the party workers and people not to believe it.
“Some people are deliberately fabricating such statements to malign Pawan Kalyan and mislead the people. There is a big conspiracy behind such fake news,” the party alleged.
