Senior actor Manchu Mohan Babu, who joined YSR Congress party before the recent assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, has been keeping away from media sensations.
But on Monday, he was back in the news with a strong comment against Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
At a recent party review meeting held in Vijayawada, Naidu said he would not tolerate any indiscipline in the party.
“I had suspended even my close friend Mohan Babu from the TDP for violating the party discipline. I won’t hesitate to take action against any leader, however big he might be, if they cross the limits of the party,” Naidu said.
Reacting strongly to these comments, Mohan Babu on Monday tweeted: “Elections are over and everyone has gone in his own way doing his own work. Everything is peaceful. At this stage, I never expected that you would hurt me with your comments. I was surprised to know that you described me as a man without discipline.”
He reminded that senior actors like NTR, Akkineni Nageshwara Rao and the film industry vouched for his discipline.
He said if there was anybody in the country who did not understand the meaning of friendship and discipline, it was Chandrababu Naidu.
“Please don’t drag my name into your talk anymore. It is not good for you. If I happened to meet you anytime, let us have a friendly chat, that too, if you are interested,” he said.
