One of the biggest clashes that Telugu audiences are going to see very soon on the silver screen is nothing but the release of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru on the same date ie., Jan 12, 2020. More than the clash, what will Tollywood look into these two films when it comes to their numbers is this.
After Baahubali 2, we have only Rangasthalam, Khaidi No 150, Saaho and Sye Raa breaching the coveted “100 crores share” mark. Though Mahesh Babu tried to reach it a couple of times, his Maharshi ended up close but failed to close it. Coming to Allu Arjun, his Naa Peru Surya took him nowhere near to it.
These days, almost every film of big stars is finishing a 100+ crores business in Telugu states alone. But the film needs to be promoted huge, and then it should get a tremendous positive buzz from the box office on the day of release to accumulate big numbers in the ensuing weeks.
