Rohit Sharma To Set A New Record Tomorrow

Rohit Sharma will set a new record tomorrow by becoming the first Indian to play 100th T20I on Thursday. He will play the second match of the ongoing T20I series between India and Bangladesh, marking as his 100th T20I. The match will be held in Rajkot. Though no Indian ever reached this milestone, Pakistan’s Shoiab Malik is the first player to play more than 100 T20Is i.e., 111 caps.

Until before, MS Dhoni stood on top with 98 caps in T20I and now, Rohit Sharma has surpassed his number on the first match of the ongoing series. Rohit said, “I made my debut in the T20 World Cup in 2007. With many highs and lows in the past 12 years, this has also taught me so many lessons to go forward”.

He also added “I have come as a youngster in the team and leant many new things, which also happened quite smoothly at start. Now, I have become a strong player and understood my game really well”. Not only this, but Rohit Sharma will also soon become the first batsman to reach 2500 T20I runs. Now he is just 48 runs to make a record. Hopefully, he will do it in this series.
