During the promotions of the 2014 release Oohalu Gusagusalade, actually heroine Raashi Khanna stunned everyone by repeatedly singing the song “Em Sandeham Ledu” at almost every interview and media meet. This led to the popularity of that singer in her.
At a time when many heroines claim themselves as bathroom singers, Raashi gave a professional touch by really singing a song in ‘Joru’ movie. Later out of friendship with Sai Dharam Tej, she has sung the song ‘Bangaru’ in Jawaan movie where she hasn’t even acted. And the very same Thaman who has given her that chance has made this dazzling girl render her voice for another song.
This time for her own film Prathiroju Pandage where she is playing the role of a Tik Tok addicted girl, Raashi has sung “Kallamunde nuvu kanabadithey” song. When quizzed about being magical with her voice, she humbly says, “Antha scene ledu, but nenu manage chesanu anthe”. But then, she has done a fabulous job.
Very rarely we see heroines from other languages managing in Telugu with their own dubbing, forget about singing. But Raashi is doing both with style and perfection. Surely she deserves a ‘wow’ for this.
